Arts and Crafts (AC)

What child doesn’t love to scribble, draw or paint?
All children want to express themselves and draw the world around them!
They want to draw trees, flowers, and cute animals. They want to draw their mom and dad on a beautiful sunny day!
They want to cut paper and use glue.They want to build houses from sticks and blocks.
Arts and crafts is all about creativity and letting a child’s imagination run wild!
It builds concentration, confidence and self-esteem.
It also helps develop fine motor skills like holding crayons and pencils, cutting with scissors, and coloring.
They also learn how to plan and organize to make beautiful pieces of art. Then they can take those projects home and show their moms and dads! Let creativity shine!

Language development (LD)

Language development helps builds communication skills and relationships.
It starts with sounds and gestures. It then slowly moves towards words and sentences.
It involves talking and communicating with children.
Teachers read books and shares stories.
Children interact by responding to questions and laughing at funny jokes and actions.
It helps a child’s ability to communicate, express, and understand feelings.
They learn how to speak and interact with other children to make friends.
They also learn culture, literacy and the basis of reading and writing.
Language development is an important part of child development.

Physical Education (P.E.) / Motor Development (M.D.)

Let’s go to the gym!Time to exercise!
Physical education and motor development help build gross motor skills.
Exercises like running, jumping and dancing get the heart pumping and blood circulating.
They help grow and strengthen muscles and bones.
They also increase energy and boost your mood. Physical activity is also good for the brain.
It refreshes the mind and helps children think more clearly.
This leads to better concentration and learning. It improves memory and problem-solving skills.
It reduces stress and anxiety. Students also learn about different sports and the rules to play them.
Basketball is extremely popular among the children. Let’s go have some fun!

Music & Games (MG)

Who wants to play musical instruments and sing?
Music plays a very important role in child development.
It helps them develop intellectually, socially and emotionally.
Learning and singing new songs helps build children’s literacy and communication skills.
It is fun to repeat songs again and again.
This improves pronunciation and fluency.
This also leads to a greater understanding of the meaning of the words and how to use them in context.
Singing together in a group helps build cooperation and teamwork.
Everyone is trying to sing together and stay in rhythm to make the song sound nice.
Musical games like clapping or playing musical instruments are also a lot of fun!
They can provide some exercise and help build fine and gross motor skills.
Singing and music just makes children happy and adds joy into their lives!

Math & Science (MS)

Time to do some math! Math is about learning the numbers in English. Students will learn to count.
They will also learn simple addition and subtraction.
They will play math games to make it fun and interesting.
Students will learn that math is very important in everyday life.
Being able to analyze and problem-solve questions makes you smarter.
It trains the brain to keep thinking and use logical reasoning.
It nurtures creativity by looking at problems from different perspectives.
It’s fun to solve math problems or puzzles and then feel proud that you found the answer by yourself! Math is fun!
Why is the sky blue? Why is grass green? What are the colors of the rainbow?
Science is about learning about the world around you.
Biology teaches children about plants and animals.
Children are fascinated by dinosaurs, lizards and insects.
It’s also important for children to learn about taking care of the Earth and protecting the environment.
Chemistry is about doing fun experiments.
Children learn about solids, liquids and gases.
They learn about the weather like thunderstorms and typhoons.
They learn what O2, CO2 and H2O are.
There is so much interesting science to learn!

Sensory Development (SD)

Sensory development helps a child learn by exploring the world around them.
It develops the five senses: hearing, smell, taste, touch and sight.
It helps a child’s brain and nervous system build pathways and nerve connections which encourages the development of language and motor skills. Students do a lot of baking and cooking.
They use creative baking recipes to color and decorate their treats and snacks.
They get to smell all the sweet aromas and then taste and eat their cakes, cookies and cupcakes. Yummy!!

English (ENG)

A – a-a-a- an apple! In English, students learn the alphabet and all the sounds.
A lot of time is spent learning phonics by singing the ABC song and phonics songs.
Students learn how to put the sounds together and sound out words.
They eventually learn how to read by using their phonics skills.
Students learn a lot of new words from reading, which helps build their vocabularies.
Student also do a lot of speaking in class.
Teachers interact with the students by asking questions and having discussions.
Students will also do writing and learn grammar.
Teachers will teach the proper grammar to use and help students to speak correctly.
For example, students will learn the past tense verbs so that they can start using them and sound more natural when they are speaking to teachers and friends.
It’s also really important to get students to think and speak in English and not try to directly translate from Chinese to English.
The sooner they do this, the more natural and fluent their English will become.
